Mediterranean Style Linguini

Ingredients
2 Jars (8 oz.) Olive Affairs Olive Tapenade
1 pound dried Linguini
10 T –extra virgin olive oil
1 cup –fresh basil leaves, washed
Red chili pepper flakes to taste (optional)
Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste


Bring a large pot of water to boil over high heat. Season with salt just to
where you can detect it.
Add the pasta, gently pushing the noodles down into the water as they begin
to soften. Cook according to package direction or until al dente, firm yet not
hard to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain the pasta into a colander.
Meanwhile, to prepare the sauce: in a large nonstick skillet over medium
heat, add the olive oil and warm it. Add the olive tapenade, red chili pepper
flakes (optional) and the basil, cooking just until wilted.
Remove from the heat and add the pasta. Return to medium heat and toss
with tongs to evenly coat the pasta with the sauce. Season generously with
black pepper and salt to taste.
Transfer to a hot serving bowl or plate. Serve immediately.
